The new Gunsmith keeps Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 players busy with the dozens of attachments available. Beyond that, you can change the skin of your weapons, similar to what you did in other games in the franchise. This time around, though, the Mastery Camos are a bit different in how you earn them. Unlocking the Orion Ultimate Mastery Camo in Modern Warfare 2
The Mastery Camos and subsequent Mastery Challenges require you to complete various tasks based on the Weapon you’re using. Some players believe unlocking camos is a bit easier than it used to be. However, that seems more trustworthy for the first few camos like Gold and Platinum. Once you get to the likes of Polyatomic and Orion, you must dive right back into grinding to unlock them.
If you don’t know, the game features four Mastery Camos:
- Gold
- Platinum
- Polyatomic
- Orion
For the Orion Camo in Modern Warfare 2, you must initially unlock the Polyatomic Camo. Check out our Polyatomic Camo guide to learn more about how you go about this part.
Although some grinding is needed, it doesn’t seem too hard to get the Orion Camo on your weapons. You don’t just unlock the Polyatomic Camo, but you must do so on 51 weapons. This can be the weapons available with the launch, or you can opt to mix and match those with weapons that come out down the road.
Once you get those 51 weapons with the Polyatomic Camo, all of those with said camo will automatically get the Orion Ultimate Mastery Camo in Modern Warfare 2.

Consider the name once you think about how the Orion Camo looks. It certainly has a stunning space vibe to it, and it is a weapon skin that will look good no matter what you’re holding in your hands. Orion has a way of turning even the deadliest of weapons into a piece of beauty.
